Welcome to Antara, a bakery & eating house where the day unfolds from dawn to dusk. Viennoiserie, bread & breakfast in the morning, dishes from the woodfired oven at noon & night, and bar snacks & wine at the standing bar come evenfall.


Baking is at the heart of what we do, crafted on-site twice a day at dawn and in the afternoon. Come for a pastry in the morning — the classics to be dipped in coffee with sweet and savoury changing specials. Leave with a loaf of freshly baked bread, then or at our second bake on your way home after work. And while here, cast your eye up towards the dough room on our mezzanine, where our bakers can be seen hard at work.

Eating house

Our eating house opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with dishes that draw influences from the bakery — the deep, earthy wholefood flavours of malt and yeast. Pasta is made with stone-ground spelt flour in the dough room overhead, whole fish, organic chicken, meat and vegetables are slow-roasted in the wood fire oven, and desserts might come with wood fire roasted elements.

We bake in the mornings, with a second bake of bread ready from 4.30pm, Tuesday to Friday.
